Empty Universe

Madam/sir,

Is it true that a completely empty universe, without any object, without any particle, a mere void, would be twodimensional?

Jod

Dear Jod,

According to Einstein's general relativity, a completely empty universe could have any number of spatial dimensions. String theory would say that an empty universe should have 10 spatial dimensions. I hope this is helpful.
