Accelerator Update

Monday December 8
The day shift began with the Tevatron (TeV) and the Main Injector (MI) in access, and with the Booster and Antiproton Source (Pbar) conducting studies.

By 8:38 AM, operators had made Pbar and the D-zero experiment ready for access.

A Linac expert began a 400 MeV line study at 4:48 PM.

Tuesday December 9
The midnight shift began with the MI and TeV in access, and with Booster and Linac experts conducting studies.

At 12:43 AM, operators established beam to MiniBooNE.

Linac 400 MeV studies ended at around 2 AM.

Booster studies ended at 3:38 AM, and operators had the tunnel ready for access by 5:30 AM.

Cryo system technicians reported that they had changed wet engine flywheels at A2, F1, and F2 at 10:37 AM.

Preaccelerator experts accessed and inspected the H- and I- Sources at 11:34 AM.

Operations established beam to MiniBooNE at 8:36 PM.

Operations established beam to the MI dump at 8:46 PM.

Wednesday December 10
The midnight shift began with

At 12:30 PM, Operations established beam to the Pbar Accumulator.
