Whether you're interested in the science conducted here or just come to fish in our ponds, you're welcome at Fermilab. The laboratory is open to visitors every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from November to March and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. the rest of the year.

Guided public tours are offered every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and as part of the Ask-a-Scientist event on the first Sunday of each month. We are also offering Summer Sunday Tours on select third Sundays.

NOTICE: The Pine Street entrance off of Kirk Road will be closed east of the Lederman Science Center from Oct. 17 to Nov. 4. Visitors can access the site during regular hours (8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week) via the Wilson Street entrance, north of the Pine Street entrance on Kirk Road, or the Batavia Road entrance off of Route 59.

The Lederman Science Center will still be accessible off of Pine Street, but you will not be able to access the rest of campus, including Wilson Hall.

Please follow the signs posted along Kirk Road and throughout the Fermilab site for further directions.

Fermilab visitors are allowed to visit two buildings on their own. In Wilson Hall, visitors can explore the exhibit and viewing areas on the first and 15th floor as well as the Fermilab Art Gallery on the second floor. Sign in at the reception desk on the first floor of Wilson Hall. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Visitors also can explore the hands-on exhibits at the Leon Lederman Science Education Center, which is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 630-840-8258 to check on holiday hours or check the Lederman Science Center website.
