About Fermilab's Open House

Fermilab is hosting an Open House on Saturday, September 13, 1997, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join us. Bring the whole family, kids and all, and make a day of it. There will be lots to do and see and we hope you will have lots of fun here!

While visiting the home of the world's most powerful particle accelerator, you will be able to explore experimental areas of the Laboratory not normally open to the general public, including high-energy physics experiments and the Lab's newest accelerator. As part of the festivities, you can also attend talks about Fermilab's science, visit the Science Education Center, take bus and walking tours, have a picnic lunch, and hike the Lab's restored tall-grass prairie.

Entrance to the Open House will be from the east through the Batavia Road gate or from the west through the Wilson Road gate. We have a map of the vicinity to help you get here.

After you get on site, we will direct you to a parking lot, and from there you can board a bus to take you to the activities we have planned. On the bus you will receive a brochure describing the activities from which you can select. Click on them map for a larger image and more information.
