Second Bulletin
This is the second bulletin for the Workshop on
"Heavy Quarks at Fixed Target"
that will be held on October 10, 11, and 12 of 1998 at Fermilab.
The Workshop is the fourth in a series that was initiated in Frascati (Italy)
in 1993. Following editions were held in Charlottesville (USA) 1994 and
St.Goar (Germany) in 1996.
The latest information on this year's workshop can be found on our WEB site at
http://www.fnal.gov/projects/hq98/
There will be a third bulletin 2 to 3 weeks before the workshop.
Scientific Program:
By heavy quarks we mean the strange, charm, and bottom quarks. The emphasis
of the Workshop is on the areas of heavy quark physics where Fixed Target
experiments have made major contributions. However, for those areas,
we hope to have rather comprehensive discussions which include the
contributions of collider experiments as well. We will be emphasizing recent
results and future experimental programs. We also plan to have
theoretical and experimental overviews of each area.
The Workshop will be arranged by topics:
- CP violation
- Rare Decays and Mixing
- Production dynamics
- Structure Functions of Heavy Quarks
- Heavy Ions
- Semileptonic Decays
- Hadronic Decays and Lifetimes
- Spectroscopy

as soon as we can after we receive the abstract.
Accommodations and Social Program:
The Workshop will be held at Fermilab in Batavia Illinois.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Radisson Hotel in Lisle/Naperville
(about 8 miles from Fermilab) at a special rate of $89/night plus tax
