Transportation

Fermilab's Batavia site will be temporarily closed to the public from Aug. 26 through Sept. 8, 2024. This includes the Lederman Science Center, all outdoor areas and Wilson Hall. View more details on hours, activities and site access requirements.

Transportation to and from Chicago O'Hare Airport or Midway Airport is available by limousine, taxi or car rental. Transportation to and from the Geneva local commuter is available by Pace Call-n-Ride.

Car rental
All of the usual rental companies (such as Hertz, Avis, Budget and National) are located at the airports.

Limousine service
Reservations for limousine service should be made in advance when possible. West Suburban Limousine: 1-800-345-LIMO or 630-668-9600. For pickup instructions after your arrival at O'Hare Airport or Midway Airport, call 1-800-942-LIMO.

Public transportation
Pace's regional Call-n-Ride bus service serves Fermilab, areas of Batavia and the Geneva local commuter Metra train station on the Union Pacific West line.
