Fermilab director search update - July 2025

Dear Members of the Fermilab Community,

The search for Fermilab's next director has entered the candidate sourcing phase. The Director Search Committee has engaged Opus Partners, an executive search firm with experience in recruiting for national laboratories and other scientific/research institutions, to assist in identifying qualified candidates.

We appreciate the valuable input received thus far through the Fermilab website. Community members are encouraged to continue submitting suggestions, including potential candidates' names, to ensure a comprehensive search process. An updated position description is available on the Fermilab website.

The Committee is also conducting engagement sessions with various representatives across the Fermilab community to gather additional insights. We are grateful to those who have already participated and contributed their perspectives.
