Fermilab director search update - October 2025

Dear members of the Fermilab Community,

The search for the next director of Fermilab has advanced to its next stage. The Director Search Committee has completed its review and interviews, and the Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC Board of Directors is now evaluating candidates.

To protect candidate privacy and ensure the integrity of the process, we will not be sharing the names of any candidates. We continue to target completion of the search by the end of calendar year 2025.

We are grateful to the Fermilab community for your continued interest, thoughtful insights and engagement throughout this process. You have provided important perspectives on the qualities and experiences that matter most in our next Director. Together, we remain committed to ensuring Fermilab's leadership is well positioned to advance our world-leading scientific mission.
